Two young teenagers are accused of leading police on a wild chase along the Bruce Highway in stolen vehicles at the Sunshine Coast overnight.

One of the vehicles was crashed and the other had its tyres damaged by spike strips before both teenagers, aged 13 and 14, tried to make a run for it and were arrested with the help of the dog squad.
Police spotted an SUV, allegedly stolen from Kippa-Ring on Monday, and a ute, allegedly stolen from Golden Beach a few hours earlier, on the Bruce Highway at Coochin Creek just before midnight.
It will be alleged the SUV later crashed on the highway and the underage driver got into the ute with the other teenage boy.
Police said officers tried to stop the ute on the Bruce Highway in Glass House Mountains just after midnight but the vehicle sped off.
Spike strips were used near the Steve Irwin Way exit in Meridan Plains and the two occupants ditched the ute in the centre median strip and tried to make a run for it.
The dog squad was called in and police arrested the two boys in nearby bushland.
A 13-year-old Kippa-Ring boy was charged with two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and stealing a motor vehicle and one count of driving unlicensed.
A 14-year-old Clontarf boy was charged with evasion, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, stealing a vehicle and driving unlicensed.
