The amount of revenue collected from leadfoot motorists is expected to soar by 47 per cent over the next four years as more speed cameras are rolled out across the state.

In 2017-18, the estimated actual revenue collected from speed camera fines was $160.6 million.
That figure was expected to balloon to $237.2 million by 2021-22.
LNP treasury spokesman Tim Mander accused the government of revenue raising.
Mr Mander said the opposition would bring back the requirement to display "speed camera in use" signs with mobile speed camera units, after the signs were removed in 2015.
"High visibility policing will always be better at enforcing safe driving than fines being sent to drivers long after they were caught speeding," he said.
A Transport and Main Roads spokesman said increases in mobile speed camera hours for police were approved as part of the 2017-18 state budget.
"The Camera Detected Offence Program has also been approved to install additional point-to-point cameras, new red light speed cameras and upgrade existing red light cameras to red light speed cameras over the next four years," he said.
"The increase in mobile speed camera hours and additional fixed cameras are expected to lead to increased infringements and therefore increased revenue projections over coming years."
The spokesman said locations for cameras were primarily identified by analysing sections of road with a history of crashes as a result of speeding or red-light running.
"This analysis identifies sites of greatest risk, not revenue streams," he said.
A Palaszczuk government spokesman said all revenue raised from camera detected offences had to be used for road safety projects aimed at reducing Queensland's road toll under legislation.
"We make no apologies for speed cameras being used in Queensland because they save lives," he said.
"It's simple. If you don't speed, you won't be fined."
About 60 people die because of speed-related crashes in Queensland every year and hundreds are seriously injured.
The government spokesman said the use of unmarked mobile speed cameras was just one of the measures police used to reduce the state's road toll.
"A study by the Monash University Accident Research Centre showed Queensland's road safety cameras prevented 3400 casualty crashes in 2015, with 98 per cent of those crash savings a result of using mobile speed cameras," he said.
