CCTV footage showed the motorcyclist creating a thick cloud of white smoke from the burning rubber in the driveway of Logan City's Springwood Police Station on Thursday afternoon, before the rider fell from the motorcycle.
The rider then climbed back on the bike and was seen riding on Pacific Highway Service Road.
Even though the rider was believed to be wearing motorcycle gang colours at the time, investigations revealed the person was not a member of an outlawed club.
Police said on Tuesday a 31-year-old man from Logan suburb Waterford was helping them with their inquiries.
