The NSW opposition on Monday criticised the coalition for cutting the amount of sitting days by 40 per cent since coming to government in 2011.
Interim Opposition Leader Penny Sharpe said the limited sitting days reduced the opportunity for the Berejiklian government to be held to account.
"It's a dereliction of duty and leaves taxpayers wanting to know what exactly are all these ministers doing?" Ms Sharpe said in a statement.
A NSW government spokeswoman said the 35 days provided "appropriate capacity" to deliver the its agenda.
Both houses of NSW parliament sat for 48 days in 2018. Parliament sat for 35 days in 2007.
