Residents in areas prone to localised flooding have been asked to not park their cars on the street, with Brisbane City Council saying sandbags were also available if needed.
The weather bureau warned that abnormal high tides were on the cards for low-lying areas near the coast and riverside suburbs from Thursday until Sunday.
About 9.15pm on Thursday, a tide peak of 2.68 metres was predicted, followed by a high tide of 2.74 metres just after 10pm on Friday.
The king tide was expected to bring a peak of 2.74 metres at 10.52pm on Saturday and a high tide of 2.68 metres was forecast about 11.40pm on Sunday.
"Minor localised flooding may be experienced in bayside, riverside and low-lying parts of nearby suburbs," Brisbane City Council said in a statement.
"Areas connected to the foreshore, and tide-affected areas of the river, creeks and other waterways may also be affected.
"Residents in areas prone to localised flooding due to high tides are advised to avoid parking their cars on the street during these times."

In January, parts of Brisbane were inundated with water as another unusually high tide hit the city’s low-lying areas, including the suburbs of Windsor and Scarborough.
The Bureau of Meteorology had the high tide hitting 2.75 metres at that time.
Cars were swamped in Windsor, Ann Street in Fortitude Valley had water and debris over the road, while streets were closed in Scarborough after the tide.
