Legislation to ban property developers from donating to state and local politicians will be introduced into the Queensland Parliament in the next six months.

But it was not the "number one priority", for the re-elected Labor government, Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said.
In October, Labor introduced the Implementing Belcarra Bill, following a crime watchdog investigation into corruption allegations in local government.
It was designed to be retrospective, to the date it was introduced, if it was eventually passed by Parliament, meaning it effectively prevented political parties from accepting property developer donations during the November election campaign.
But the bill lapsed when the state election was called, and will need to be reintroduced into the Parliament.
Speaking in Townsville on Thursday, Ms Palaszczuk confirmed that would happen.
"That's not the number one priority, we've got a number of issues that will be coming forward," she said.
"But we would hope to reintroduce that legislation within the first six months.
"It's not on my agenda at the moment, so I'll have a look at it, but we have some other priorities at the moment."
Analysis by Fairfax Media showed the ban would inflict political pain on the LNP, with donations disclosure data indicating roughly nine out of every 10 dollars given by the sector went to the LNP.
The laws were panned by the Property Council Queensland, with executive director Chris Mountford arguing people should be treated equally under the law.
"There are many sectors and interests that are impacted by government policy, regulation, tenders or subsidy and the community should rightly expect that political donations do not distort decision-making in any area," Mr Mountford said last year.
"All businesses, environmental groups, community groups and unions should be treated the same when it comes to donations."
Former LNP leader Tim Nicholls had questioned why the ban would not apply to political donations by unions.
The state government endorsed all 31 recommendations from the Crime and Corruption Commission's Operation Belcarra report, some in full and others in principle.
The CCC recommended property developer donations be banned at the local government level, but Ms Palaszczuk announced she would extend it to the state government level as well.
A "prohibited donor" would include a property developer and their close associates, such as related corporations, directors and their spouses and any industry representative organisation whose members are mainly property developers.
If a person accepted a prohibited donation, the state would be able to recover up to twice the amount or value of the donation.
The bill will also introduce requirements for additional information to be included when a councillor declared a conflict of interest in a matter.
