The Meteors were comprehensively beaten by five wickets against the South Australia Scorpions in the penultimate match of their WNCL campaign at Tasmania's Kingston Twin Ovals on Friday.
The Scorpions walked away with a bonus point and the Meteors walked away with broken hearts as their final hopes went up in smoke.
Koski carried her bat with a stellar 132* from 153 balls earning her player of the match honours, but it still wasn't enough to combat a rampant Scorpions outfit.
The 26-year-old combined with Katie Mack (52 from 70) for a 125-run opening stand but the Meteors could only manage 5-268 from their 50 overs.
South Australia ran riot in response with Sophie Devine (88 from 53), Tahlia McGrath (75 from 99) and Bridget Patterson (56 from 60) leading the way.
The Scorpions moved into second on the table as they blasted their way to the target with 10 overs to spare to pick up a crucial bonus point.
The Meteors needed to win both matches and hope other results went their way to have any chance of featuring in a maiden final.
That is now a dream for another season, as the ACT prepare to wrap up their season against Tasmania at the Kingston Twin Ovals on Sunday.
