Cricket ACT officials won't rule out hosting a day-night Test match but believe Manuka Oval will be a full house "no matter what" for the landmark fixture.

Manuka Oval will host its first Test match during the 2018-19 summer when Australia host Sri Lanka in January 2019.
Brisbane is the most likely venue to partner Canberra in hosting the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka and a day-night game in the capital would ensure bumper crowds.
The ageing Gabba will cost Brisbane a prized Test match against India, with the redeveloped Adelaide Oval and brand new 60,000 seat Perth Stadium leapfrogging the venue in the pecking order.
India will play a four-match series likely beginning in November and encompassing the major Boxing Day and New Year's Test matches at the Melbourne and Sydney cricket grounds respectively.
Cricket Australia and the Board of Cricket Control India (BCCI) will finalise the 2018-19 fixture next month.
Australia has not lost a day-night Test match to date and the national men's side boasts an unbeaten record at Manuka Oval.
Two day-night Tests were played during the 2016-17 season and the double dose could be repeated if Canberra gets the nod for the rare event, with Adelaide in line to host another one as is quickly becoming tradition.
"We'd expect it to be a day game rather than a day-night game but not ruling anything out at the moment," Cricket ACT chief executive Cameron French said.
"If you think about how well Canberra has supported all the international cricket that has been played at Manuka, we would expect the majority of the Test to be sold out.
"We know people will get behind it. It's the first time we've ever hosted Test cricket so it's a really special occasion for not just the cricket community, but probably the broader city.
"It's a marquee summer event and it will be really well attended."
Manuka Oval boasts some of the best lights in the country thanks to the 47-metre high towers that were installed in December 2012.
The lights transformed Manuka Oval from a boutique venue to one capable of hosting day-night international cricket fixtures and night-time AFL matches.
The Greater Western Sydney Giants hosted the Western Bulldogs in the Friday night primetime slot this year and grand-finalists Adelaide will play a Saturday night game at the venue in 2018.
The $5.347 million project that sparked a change in Canberra's skyline was jointly funded by the ACT government ($2.847 million) and the federal government ($2.5 million).
A day-night Test would be a huge way to mark Canberra's return to the men's international cricket calendar.
Canberra won't see the Australian men's side play at Manuka Oval this season despite being midway through a four-year deal to have international cricket played in the capital.
However Canberra has already hosted two women's Ashes matches this summer and Manuka Oval is being resurfaced ahead of a bumper Big Bash League double-header on January 24.
Canberra's summer of elite cricket will round up when the Prime Minister's XI host England in a Twenty20 match at Manuka Oval on February 2.
England have typically been the fixture's biggest drawcard and officials are hoping to capitalise on the hype surrounding the BBL and the Ashes series.
"Obviously playing England on a Friday night is a brilliant fixture," French said.
"There's still tickets available so obviously encouraging people to purchase, but this far out from the game itself, ticket sales have been quite good so we're really happy with how it's tracking.
"Historically [England] has been [the biggest drawcard] so we expect a really good crowd there for February 2."
