The move has paid off after he was named as part of a 14-man squad alongside Ben Mitchell and Tom Engelbrecht to represent the NSW Bush Blues at the Australian Country championships in Geraldton, Western Australia, from January 5-13.
The Bush Blues will boast a three-pronged ACT bowling attack with ANU staple Mitchell returning to the side alongside Wests-UC leg-spinner Engelbrecht.
ACT Southern were pipped at the post in the race to the NSW Country championships grand final and true to form produced three players in the 14-man squad.
Four players hail from championship-winners Newcastle, three from runners-up Central Coast, and one from each of Western Zone, Riverina, North Coast and Central Northern.
