Claims by a Victorian Liberal MP that primary schools are teaching children anal sex and accessing porn are disgraceful and offensive, the state government says.

Conservative western suburbs MP Bernie Finn's Facebook post, which also alleged young children were being taught how to use condoms, is completely untrue, according to the Education Minister James Merlino.
Mr Finn was described by a colleague on Monday as "an excitable sort of fellow", but Mr Merlino says the Liberal Party should pull the upper house MP into line over the claims.
In an inflammatory Facebook outburst posted on Monday, Mr Finn said parents need not stress about their children's "inability to read, write or count".
"But rather rejoice their tackers know how to put on a condom, engage in anal sex and access online pornography," he wrote.
Mr Finn did not provide any evidence for his claims in the post, which also drew condemnation from a parents group.
"It's offensive and disgraceful and has no place in a major political party," Mr Merlino said.
The minister said Mr Finn's conduct was a test of leadership for Opposition Leader Matthew Guy, and urged him to pull "this bloke into line".
"Matthew Guy clearly needs Bernie Finn to sustain his leadership and he's too weak to do anything about it," Mr Merlino said.
Opposition education spokesman Tim Smith said his colleague was simply expressing the sentiment of many Victorian parents who were concerned about the appropriateness of the Catching on Early sex education program and the Safe Schools anti-bullying initiative.
He described Mr Finn as an "excitable sort of fellow" but said he was "unaware of the specifics" Mr Finn included in his post.
Parents Victoria executive officer Gail McHardy condemned Mr Finn's Facebook missive.
"Parents Victoria believes adults must lead by example and deplore poor public behaviour on social media, especially from any parliamentarian," she said. "It doesn't matter what side of politics or the topic, Victorians do take notice of the behaviour of public officials."
Late last month, Mr Finn raised eyebrows in Liberal circles and beyond when he ranted on his Facebook page about a group of fellow party members, calling them "pieces of excrement" and "loathsome scum".
The post, which has since been removed, accused the unnamed group of Liberals of "a vile campaign of lies aimed at destroying my character and removing me from parliament".
"They have no standards, ethics or morals at all," Mr Finn wrote.
"Dishonesty and disloyalty are their foundation. Branch stacking and defamation are their daily activities."
