Fears Sydney would experience its coldest day in two years on Sunday morning have abated thanks to a change in air temperatures.

Instead, Sydneysiders can look forward to a sunny, albeit slightly below average, start of the week with a minimum of 7 degrees and a top of 17.
Duty forecaster Andrew Haigh from the Bureau of Meteorology said it would be a cold start to the day in the morning, with some frost in the west.
"The west will experience a minimum of zero to 2 degrees, which is below the July average," Mr Haigh said.
"The earlier prediction of 5 degrees on Sunday for Sydney has risen due to a number of reasons, but it's most likely due to the air not [being] as cold and the wind not dropping as much."
If you went for a dip in the ocean and thought it was warmer in than out, you're not wrong.
The sea temperature at Bondi Beach was 19.3 degrees on Saturday, almost 3 degrees above the average water temperature and just over a degree warmer than the air.
For the rest of the week, the city will see mostly sunny days, with Monday and Tuesday being up to 3 degrees above average temperatures. Similar weather is expected in Richmond and Penrith.
Rain is expected towards the end of the week.
Mr Haigh said none, to very little snow was forecasted for Sunday, but said the rest of the week should deliver snow to the upper pines due to more favourable conditions.
