Canberra sprint queen Melissa Breen is still chasing an Olympic Games qualifying time after failing to book her ticket to Rio during a stint in Japan.

Breen is back in the capital after a frustrating trip to Asia as conditions conspired against her bid to clock a golden time of 11.32 seconds in the 100-metre event.
The 25-year-old is the Australian champion and has secured multiple B-qualifying times, but she needs to reach the A-qualifying mark to ensure she'll be in Rio.
Breen has been powering through a hectic period to reach the required time but is now searching for more races to help her get to her second Olympics.
It is likely she will shift her attention to a run in Queensland in June before a potential stint in Europe.
Breen is the the fastest woman in Australian sprint history, breaking a 20-year-old record in 2014 when she ran 11.11 seconds in Canberra.
Also competing in Japan at the Golden Grand Prix in Kawasaki, Lauren Wells won the women's 400m hurdles in a time of 55.23.
Meanwhile, former Canberran Jared Tallent won a silver medal at the IAAF World Race Walking Team Championships in Rome. Tallent finished the 50km race in 3:42.36, behind winner Alex Schwazer (3:39:00).
Tallent now heads to the Australian Institute of Sports base in Varese, Italy before one final race in La Coruna, Spain, ahead of the Rio Games.
He will then return to Australia where he will be presented with his much deserved gold medal from the London Olympics on June 17, 1046 days after he crossed the line second behind Russian Sergey Kirdyapkin in the 50km walk.
He was elevated to gold in March this year when Kirdyapkin was stripped of the medal after being caught up in the slew of positive drug tests from Russian athletes.
"I can't wait to get my medal in Melbourne," said Tallent.
"It will be the ultimate motivation to have it before heading overseas again and I can't wait to share it with my family and friends."
