Dean belted 76 from just 30 balls, including eight sixes, and took 2-20 with the ball as the Comets finished the tournament with a 71-run win against Western Districts at Pratten Park on Sunday.
The Comets posted an imposing total of 7-196 before Dean, Ben Taylor (3-25), Cameron Suidgeest (2-14) and Sam Taylor (2-9) helped restrict Western Districts to 9-125 in reply.
Dean carried on from his terrific form with Weston Creek Molonglo from last season where he was named the competition's player of the year.
After previously having a stint with the Sydney Thunder, Comets coach Aiden Blizzard believes Dean is capable of getting another chance in the BBL.
"He was probably two classes above everyone else on the field today," Blizzard said. "We would love to see him back in BBL colours somewhere. He's got the tools, we just need to get that every week and I'm sure he will be back up there where he belongs."
It was the Comets' second straight win after they beat the Central Coast last weekend and bodes well ahead of the Futures League.
"We've made some serious progress from game one to game four," Blizzard said. "The guys that were a little out of their depth and given opportunities to stretch their capabilities have come a long way. We'll start hitting the red balls this week and start to prepare for the Futures League."
