The team will travel to Brisbane on Friday to compete in the tournament and are full of confidence.
"I think we're a pretty good chance," ACT representative Brock Winkler said. "Last year we were a little lacklustre, we didn't perform to what we thought we were capable of.
"This year we want to rectify that and prove our worth."
The ACT team will again be captained by Australian representative Matthew Floros.
Vinesh Bennett, who was awarded the 2014 Alan Wilson medal for the best indoor cricketer in Australia, will also compete for the ACT.
Australian spots are on offer at the national titles, with a touring squad to be selected for international fixtures scheduled later in the year.
Despite the possibility of higher personal honours, Winkler maintains the ACT has only one motivation.
"As a team we've been really hungry to get the ACT a title on the national stage," he said.
"That's our main goal first and foremost."
Winkler also hopes that successful results at national and international competitions can improve the perception of indoor cricket.
Still viewed primarily as a stepping stone into outdoor cricket, Winkler attributes his skills as an outdoor cricketer to his indoor cricket origins.
"There's a belief that indoor cricket may have a negative effect on your outdoor game, which is completely untrue," he said.
"I try and get as many juniors as possible involved in indoor cricket as I think it's a very good way to build into outdoor cricket."
Winkler admits though there is still a way to go, describing the Canberra indoor cricket community as "very small".
To be able to play regular cricket, Winkler has been forced to frequently commute to either Sydney or Newcastle to play in the Big Blast Indoors, the indoor cricket version of the Big Bash League.
However, positive results at the nationals next week and beyond indoor cricket in the ACT could receive just the boost it needs.
