Open mic in Canberra: Grant Follett's stand-up confessions

Like most people in Canberra, I joined the public service because I'm an adrenaline junkie, but facing a crowd with five minutes to make them laugh can really put the scary into really scary. Luckily, those needing more mortifying humiliation in their lives can fulfil their dream by heading along to the Pot Belly Bar on a Wednesday night to give open-mic comedy a go. Those just wanting to laugh can go as well, because, no joke, Canberra has a fantastic underground comedy scene, maybe not as underground as the famed scene in Cooper Pedy, but at least as fantastic.
