Henning (nee Abrams) won six WNBL titles with Canberra and will be joined by Netball ACT's Louise Bilston, jockey Kayla Nisbet and GWS Giants Canberra-born player Britt Tully.
The ACT government and the Tuggeranong Hawks have teamed up for the event to celebrate and recognise women in sports around Canberra.
The event will be used as a tool to further advance gender equality, break cultural barriers and improve social outcomes through promoting all female sports.
ACT sport minister Yvette Berry said: "Great things are happening at all levels of sport and the ACT government is providing support for better female board representation, more inclusive facilities and greater participation for girls and women in organised sport."
The evening will double as a celebration for the Hawks introducing a second team to the AFL Canberra women's league. All the proceeds raised through the event will go directly towards the development of girls and women in sport throughout the Tuggeranong Valley.
Henning was the Capitals' skipper through the club's dynasty era, including back to back championships in the 2008-09 and 2009-10 WNBL seasons.
