Part-owner of the resource management centres Elaine Stanford said the two recycling depots at Mitchell and Mugga Lane had raised and donated $180,000 to charities in the past three years.
''The last Wednesday of every month sales from both stores go to charity,'' Ms Stanford said.
''Other businesses give a percentage of profits but we give the whole lot - the whole day's takings from both businesses.''
Once a charity is chosen, it usually takes three months for the $10,000 figure to be reached.
''It's such a good feeling when you give it away … Pegasus bought a few horses.''
Initially, the company gave cash away to any charity that needed it but in the past year they have decided to keep the money local.
''It's nice to know where the money is going, Ronald McDonald House in Canberra, helping refugees gain independence, or saving pets from euthanasia.''
Other charities to receive $10,000 include the local chapter of the Starlight Foundation, Marymead, Bosom Buddies, Barnados and the Yellow Van.
All local not-for-profit organisations are eligible, but applicants will be ranked according to their needs and the community benefit the offer.
''They should send us an email let us know who they are, what they are doing and how they'd use the $10,000,'' Ms Stanford said.
''The first time we called for submissions we got 40 and we've almost gone through those.''
