The balloon, which was promoting this weekend’s Defence Air Show, took off from Burswood and landed on the fifth hole of the Royal Perth Golf Club on Labouchere Road before 8.30am.
According to 6PR journalist Pip Moir, who was onboard, there was no emergency just a diverted flight path.
"We were supposed to go over toward City Beach - but Pilot said he saw a good spot to land, so down we went," she tweeted.
A golf club spokesperson told WAtoday.com.au that Defence Force ground crew arrived shortly after it touched down on the green to remove the balloon, before the majority of today's players, who were set to tee off for the club's weekly Ladies' Day, arrived.
