The UK indie rockers will play an over 18-only show at Belvoir Amphitheatre on January 6 before headlining the bill for the Busselton festival starting on January 7.
It will be the first time the band has visited Australia since 2009.
Fans can expect chart topping favourites like I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor as well as tracks from their newest album Suck It And See which went to number one on the UK charts and reached number four on the ARIA charts when it was released earlier this year.
The group were one of the first bands to rise in popularity through the Internet and social networking after forming in 2002.
Fans flocked to their MySpace site where they posted demos, recordings and photos.
Their first album Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not, which was released in 2006, went on to become the fastest selling debut album in British music history and remains the fastest selling debut album for a UK band.
News of their Australian side-shows comes days after it was announced that lead singer Alex Turner had split from his long-time girlfriend, MTV presenter and model Alexa Chung.
According to reports in the UK she plans to focus on her TV career in the US while Turner will continue to tour with the Arctic Monkeys.
As an avid festival fan, it was rumoured she would accompany Turner down under in January.
The Arctic Monkeys upcoming appearances at the Falls Festival in Victoria and Tasmania, Southbound and a number of Australian side-shows will round out the band's year-long world tour.
