Modo Mio, meaning 'my way' in Italian, joins Neil Perry's fine dining establishment Rockpool and cocktail haven (A)LURE at the entertainment complex.
Head chef Giampaolo Maffini has devised a traditional Italian menu with a modern flair and according to inside sources his homemade pizzas are his signature dish. After 20 years experience pleasing palates in Italy, Japan and Hong Kong, Chef Maffini is looking forward to charting new territory and conquering tastebuds in Perth.
His Italian masterpieces will strike the right chord at Burswood, as the complex has been missing a venue that fills the Mediterranean cuisine void. Modo Mio’s kitchen will be brimming with passionate cooking and secret recipes that have been in the Maffini family for generations.
Expect a menu laden with fresh pasta, homemade sauces and wood fire pizzas.
Starters could cover as a main meal as most are priced between $6-$26 and the usual suspects including soups, ossobucco and pasta make an appearance but it is the wood fired pizzas, including the chicken with asiago pizza, that start at $18 which are sure to be a hit for hotel guests and local customers alike.
Modo Mio takes over from the now defunct Victoria Station restaurant, with manager Bernie Alcantra leading the five-star front of house team.
Modo Mio is located at Riverside Entrance and will be open for lunch and dinner, seven days a week from June 2.
