The Marist College graduate says Wednesday night is about sitting back, soaking it in and relaxing despite being on the verge of becoming Canberra's highest draft pick in recent memory.
Green leads Canberra's list of AFL hopefuls as clubs try to find the next star in the 2019 group of young talent.
Green has made his mark over the past 12 months, training with the GWS Giants and making recruiters take notice after becoming the best contested-ball winning junior in Champion Date history.
Some rate him as a top-five chance as the Giants attempt to lock him away, but anywhere in the top 10 seems fitting.
"I guess there's a little bit of nerves because of the unknowns, but I can't control anything. I've done everything I can, so I'm excited," Green said.
"I only get to experience all of this once, so I'm just keen. I've never been overwhelmed by it, it's all just part of the process.
"Talk of going high is something I've worked hard for and something I think I've earned. I don't feel any pressure from it, it's just from playing well.

"The only thing I hope that can come of it is that it shows other kids in Canberra that it's attainable to get drafted but be right up there with the best players in the country.
"If you work hard and play well ... I hope it encourages and motivates other kids to aim high."
Green and Canberra Demons duo Angus Baker and Mitch McGuire will be hoping to hear their names read out when the draft begins.
Green's family and friends have set up a "watch party" at Phillip in anticipation, while the teenager will be flanked by a support crew in Melbourne.
He's grandson of four-time premiership player and Richmond team of the century member Michael Green and lives by the motto of if you're good enough, you can reach your dreams.
The Giants invited him into their inner sanctum this year, bringing him through their academy system and giving him a taste of AFL action with the full-time squad.
"I can't speak highly enough of them. They allowed me to train up there with them for a bit and everyone has been welcoming," Green said.
"Doing pre-season with them set me up for a good year. I was embraced by everyone at the club, they've been fantastic for me.
"When you hear your name being mentioned, that's when it hits home that this is what you've dreamed about. But I understand this is just another step on the path of what I want to eventually do."
The Gold Coast Suns have picks No. 1 and 2, with Melbourne jumping in at No. 3 and the Giants moving in at No. 4. Green has been described as a "Patrick Cripps clone" and was an All Australian this year.
