Friends, family and patrons gathered at The Dock in Kingston on Australia Day to help raise funds for the family of John Smith. Mr Smith, 71, died on December 30 trying to defend his Bodalla property from bushfires. Australia Day would have been his 72nd birthday. He is survived by his beloved wife Josie and 10-year-old daughter Emerald.
