The Queanbeyan export will line up in the midfield during the Gold Coast Suns' maiden AFLW appearance against the GWS Giants at Blacktown International Sportspark on Saturday.
The opening bounce will mark a new era for football on the Gold Coast - and the expanded AFLW for that matter with four new teams joining the league this year.
But there will be a touch of familiarity on hand for Dunn - her Queanbeyan Tigers teammate Alexia Hamilton will be making her debut across the half-forward line.
Canberra trio Britt Tully, Ellie Brush and Jodie Hicks will line up for the Giants to give the clash a distinct ACT flavour.
"Everyone is really excited. The vibe around the club has been really good," Dunn said.
"Being the first national women's sporting team on the Gold Coast, everyone is just super excited about it.

"The girls are really good, super-friendly. As soon as the first training came around, it kind of felt like I knew everyone.
"It felt like I'd met them all before, everyone was just so welcoming. Not only that, but around the club as well.
"Everyone is a bit nervous, but that's expected for round one. We've got about 10 debutants as well which is massive. It's going to be a big day for the club.
"I'm loving it. The lifestyle is pretty good hey, living at the beach and being able to play footy for a living."
Dunn has tasted life at the elite level before if only for a moment on the weekend the nation took notice of women's football.
It was round one, season one. Teams were packing out stadiums and gates were shut on fans desperate to be a part of history with house full signs going up.
The Queanbeyan star was on GWS' radar in 2017 and made the trek north once a week during pre-season with nothing more than a training kit guaranteed.
Then a host of injuries opened the door for Dunn to get a shock call-up for the season opener, but she was not granted another opportunity at the top.
So now she locks horns with the Giants as a revitalised player and a constant weapon in the AFL Canberra competition, against a vastly different GWS list hunting a finals berth.
"I know of some of the girls and have trained with a few of them before," Dunn said.
"I haven't been around that system for probably two years, so they've changed a lot in that time.
"My game has as well, so it should be a good hit-out, it'll be interesting."
