The 24-year-old was arrested on Friday after police executed a search warrant on his home.
Police will allege images and videos of child exploitation material were found on the premises.
Three computers, and a mobile phone were among the items seized.
The man is due to front Queanbeyan Local Court on Saturday morning on a Commonwealth charge of possessing child abuse material.
Bail will be opposed.
