It's the domino effect of Premier Daniel Andrews locking down Victoria from midnight tonight in response to fears the uber-infectious UK strain is spreading faster than health authorities can manage.
Here's what the latest lockdown means where you are:
VIC: Stage 4 restrictions apply from 11.59pm until 11.59pm Wednesday. All the snap lockdown rules are explained right here.
NSW: Anyone who has arrived from Victoria since January 29 will have to self-quarantine from midnight tonight for five days.
QLD: From 1am Saturday the border will be closed for 14 days to anyone who has been in Greater Melbourne.
ACT: Victorians will have to apply for an exemption to enter and will need to quarantine on arrival. Residents can return to the ACT but must self-quarantine.
NT: People who arrive in the NT from 10.45am on Friday are required to go into supervised quarantine at the Howard Springs facility. Anyone who has arrived from Greater Melbourne from February 7 must self-isolate, get tested and stay in isolation until receiving a negative result.
SA: The state's hard border will cover the whole state of Victoria from midnight. Anyone transiting through Tullamarine Airport must go into quarantine for 14 days.
TAS: The border to Victoria is closed. All travellers from Victoria to Tasmania must self-isolate for 14 days, at their home or in hotel quarantine.
WA: There will be a 72-hour hard border with Victoria put in place at 6pm Friday. After that only exempt travellers from Victoria will be allowed into WA.
And then, of course, there's the border communities which are left in a state of flux again. NSW Health has not yet announced whether there will be any exceptions in place for cross-border communities.
"Interestingly" tennis players are deemed "essential workers" so play at the Australian Open will continue - just without crowds for five days.
That opens up discussion on a number of levels, but, it's Friday and there's a lot to unpack. Suffice to say, I feel for anyone trying to cross the border to see desperately unwell loved ones.
