A positive test from a non-playing member of the West Indies staff, revealed just before the second ODI was due to start on Thursday, caused the match to be suspended with all the players and support staff then isolating in their hotel and getting retested.

The game was finally played on Saturday after no more positive tests were recorded, with the West Indies winning a low scoring game by four wickets to level the three-match series.

The series will be decided in the final game on Monday.

The suspended second match was the first time COVID had impacted Australia on any of their tours since the pandemic started.

"In these COVID times, you've got to expect the unexpected. It's sort of become the normal now and it's about adapting to that," Agar said.

"Initially, I think its something that is a bit of a shock to the system, something that you're not really used to, but you always in the back of your mind prepare for.

"I think being in another country and having a situation like that arise, there's obviously going to be some questions and some wariness myself personally.

"But I knew we were in good hands with our doctor and our medical staff and, luckily, things turned out for the better."

Agar said being double vaccinated gave him greater peace of mind and he had no concerns about heading to Bangladesh.

"We've got a great medical staff who make the best decisions in the best interests of the players and so I trust their judgement 100 per cent," Agar said.

Playing in just his second international game, Agar equalled his career-best score across all formats with a breezy 41 off 36 balls, striking two sixes.

"I have self-confidence in my batting and in myself," said Agar, who has only conceded 3.54 an over with the ball in the series to date.

Both teams will be looking for a better batting effort in game three after Australia crashed to 6-45 and the West Indies 5-72.

"Our batting group has got a bit to prove to get a good score on the board for our quicks," captain Alex Carey said.

"But our quicks are doing a great job, our spinners are doing a great job. It's going to shape up to be a great game."

Left-arm quick Mitchell Starc has taken 8-74 from 20 overs in the series so far and will have pace partner Josh Hazlewood back for the decider, after he missed the second match will a calf niggle.

West Indies captain Kieron Pollard is seeking improvements in all facets of the game and felt Australia should have been dismissed for much less than the 187 they made in game two.

"In the first game, we bowled pretty well, restricted them to 250, but not able to bat properly. Then today 120 should have been the (Australian) total," Pollard said.
