On October 5, Penguin is publishing a book titled Not Now, Not Ever featuring a series of reflections on the then Labor leader's 2012 speech to parliament.
"For me, it is a personal and cathartic exercise looking back at THAT speech," she tweeted on Tuesday.
"But what has meant even more has been gathering the reflections and thoughts from others about then, now, and what next."
Proceeds from the book's sale will go to the Global Institute for Women's Leadership.
The speech was delivered by Ms Gillard on October 9, 2012, and has been remarked on internationally not only for its direct challenging of then opposition leader Tony Abbott's words and actions, but more broadly of the public and private behaviours of men.
The title of the book comes from the opening words of the speech: "I say to the Leader of the Opposition I will not be lectured about sexism and misogyny by this man. I will not. And the government will not be lectured about sexism and misogyny by this man. Not now, not ever."

The book includes contributions from Kathy Lette, Anne Summers, Cate Blanchett, Brittany Higgins, Mary Beard, Jess Hill, Jennifer Palmieri and Katharine Murphy.
