After the game, Rodgers - who collected seven trophies in his previous spell in charge at Celtic between 2016 and 2019 - said: "I understand I have been placed on death watch by the media.
"But whatever the result today I'm an experienced manager now and I'm staying calm.
"I understand what we have, I understand what we are missing.
"It's three wins and a draw and some of the games have been good, but we are still piecing together a team."
Unbeaten Motherwell are level on points with Celtic after a hard-fought 1-0 win over Hearts at Tynecastle.
Callum Slattery slotted home the only goal of the game shortly before the half-hour mark and the visitors survived Paul McGinn's second-half dismissal for two bookable offences to claim all three points.
Managerless Hibernian secured their first league win of the season thanks to goals from substitutes Adam Le Fondre and Christian Doidge at Aberdeen.
Socceroos Martin Boyle and Jimmy Jeggo, and Australia under-23 cap Lewis Miller, lined up for Hibs alongside former Sydney FC striker Le Fondre.
The Dons are still seeking a first win of the campaign.
