The white and blue of the star of David was displayed on the Opera House in Sydney, prompting pro-Palestinian protesters to throw flares around the iconic building.
In Brisbane, the Story Bridge shined across the Brisbane river.
South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas shared photos of a blue-white illuminated Adelaide Town Hall, Adelaide Oval and Adelaide Railway station.
In Melbourne, Flinders street station, the MCG and the National Gallery of Victoria were lit up.
Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan said her state stood with Israel.
"Our thoughts are with the Israeli community in Victoria today, after the recent attacks by Hamas," she wrote on Twitter.
"Hundreds of innocent civilians have been injured or killed and many Victorians will be worried for friends and family.
"We condemn these horrific acts, as a state and a nation and we acknowledge Israel's right to defend itself."
