The woman, 85, was found dead in the Findon home after officers were called around 11.20pm on Saturday.
South Australia Police detectives are treating the incident as a murder.
"The 91-year-old husband of the woman was arrested at the scene and is expected to be charged later with murder," police said in a statement on Sunday.
