Visiting the battlefields of Flanders is a family affair for many

It is a glorious morning in Flanders at the start of spring. I, and a small group of Australians, am walking north-east along a railway embankment about eight kilometres from Ypres, the walled medieval city that is the regional capital of this part of Belgium.
