Emergency services received calls at 4.40pm and arrived at the house in Inglewood Street, Gungahlin.

No one was in the house during the fire, which caused a partial roof collapse at the rear before it was extinguished by 6pm.

Firefighters were expected to remain at the scene to monitor for hot spots and investigate the cause of the fire.
