Queensland police have charged a 21-year-old Kuraby man with the alleged murder of restaurateur Abdul Basith Mohammed, who was stabbed to death outside his home on October 25, 2017.

Za'id Abdus Samad was accused of luring Mr Mohammed outside his St George Street home by cutting the power before attacking the 35-year-old in 2017, police allege.
Fearing the worst, a family member who was inside the home during the alleged murder after midnight on October 25 two years ago called police after hearing noises coming from outside.
Police found Mr Mohammed's body in the front yard with multiple stab wounds.
The killing prompted a $250,000 reward as detectives investigated why Mr Mohammed was slain when he went outside to investigate the cause of a power failure.
Acting Superintendent Craig Morrow said the arrest of the accused was a credit to the hard work and dedication by police over a very long period of time.
"In addition to that, the Queensland Police Service truly appreciates those members of the community that have provided information that has not yet been provided to contact police," he said.
Superintendant Morrow said the information that came following the $250,000 reward had also led to the arrest.
"This arrest today does not end this offer of reward and we encourage any person with new info to come forward," he said.
An indemnity from prosecution, including as an accomplice to the homicide, would remain available to whoever came forward first.
Superintendent Morrow said he would not comment on the motive of the alleged murder, as it would form part of police evidence in court.
But he did confirm police would allege the power outage was caused by the accused.
In June 2018, police released CCTV footage of a man in a hooded jumper walking past cars in one direction and running quickly in the opposite direction shortly after outside Mr Mohammed's home.
A second crime scene was established in July 2018, at an address less than a kilometre away from Mr Mohammed's home on St George Street, with forensic officers examining the house and surrounds.
Mr Mohammed opened his Kuraby restaurant, Sizza Indian and Middle Eastern, in 2017 and was looking to open another business before his death.
On Wednesday morning, homicide detectives and detectives from Acacia Ridge Criminal Investigation Branch took Mr Samad into custody and charged him with one count of murder.
He did not appear in court but his matter was heard in the Brisbane Magistrates Court.
Mr Samad was remanded in custody and the matter was adjourned until February 4.
