A man who was pulled from a Sunshine Coast lake in a critical condition has died after emergency services were unable to revive him.

A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said they were told the man was pulled from the water after having a "medical episode" while he was with family.
Queensland Ambulance Services had responded to reports of an unconscious man off Coongarra Esplanade at Wurtulla, about 10 kilometres from Mooloolaba.
The incident happened at 7.13am on Sunday.
The man had been in a life-threatening condition while Surf Life Savers, paramedics and a rescue helicopter tasked to the area tried to "manage the patient", a QAS spokesman said.
A QPS officer told 7 News Brisbane said respondents initially thought it was a drowning.
"Surf lifesavers have attended the scene and started CPR on the gentlemen," he said.
"Upon further investigation it appears that the gentleman succumbed to a health condition."
The officer said despite the sad loss of the man's life, he praised the lifesavers for their excellent response in doing what they could to help the man.
"What I am thankful for is the quick response by Surf Life Saving who had turned up on scene and ultimately done about 40 minutes of CPR," he said.
