A man is recovering in hospital after allegedly being stabbed several times by another man outside a boarding house in the south Brisbane suburb of Annerley on Sunday.

Detectives laid charges early on Monday after the argument between two men at the Ipswich Road address just after 3pm on Sunday.
A 33-year-old local man was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital with serious stab wounds to his stomach and neck, according to police, but was recovering in a stable condition on Monday.
Officers closed one northbound lane of Ipswich Road as they searched the area.
Police found a 26-year-old man in nearby Norman Street about 5pm.
He was charged with attempted murder and was due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday.
