Labor has again used its numbers in the Parliament to shut down opposition attempts to refer Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk to a select ethics committee.

Ms Palaszczuk's actions have come under scrutiny following complaints by Katter's Australian Party Queensland leader Robbie Katter about extra staff being cut from his office.
In August, Ms Palaszczuk called for the KAP to publicly condemn then-KAP senator Fraser Anning's comments about a "final solution" in reference to immigration, and said she would be reviewing the party's arrangement for extra staff.
She later ripped up the deal for extra staff.
The Crime and Corruption Commission said Ms Palaszczuk's comments – if proven – could involve an offence of bribery of a member of Parliament but there was no successful prospect of prosecution.
On Thursday, LNP leader Deb Frecklington attempted to suspend standing orders so she could move a motion to establish and refer Ms Palaszczuk to a select committee of ethics.
But it was defeated 46 to 44 votes, despite the KAP, One Nation, Greens and independent MPs supporting the move, as Labor used its majority.
It was the second time the LNP had tried to refer the Premier to a select ethics committee over the issue.
During the last sitting week, on October 17, Ms Frecklington wanted to set up a select committee to investigate Ms Palaszczuk but was similarly defeated.
The select committee would have had seven members - three appointed by Labor, three appointed by the LNP and one member from the crossbench, who was not a member of KAP.
Labor Speaker Curtis Pitt ruling he would not allow the opposition to try again.
"The opposition have twice sought to seek leave to move a motion, they also, of course, have an opportunity each sitting week to put a motion on notice and debate said motion," he said.
"In light of those points, I will, with regards to any future attempts to seek leave for this motion, I will be enabling the same question rule and I will be ruling it out of order."
Last month, Mr Pitt referred Ms Palaszczuk to the Parliament's powerful ethics committee to investigate whether she was in contempt over allegations she threatened members of the Katter's Australian Party.
Mr Pitt said there was no prima facie bribery attempt and he was not referring the Premier to the ethics committee for any attempted contempt related to bribery.
The Katter's Australian Party and LNP have called for Ms Palsazczuk to stand aside during the ethics committee investigation.
But Ms Palaszczuk has previously said she was not the first premier to be referred to the ethics committee and she did not see a need to stand down.
"Just go back through the history, I'm sure there's plenty. I'm probably in good company," Ms Palaszczuk said on Sunday.
The Parliament's ethics committee has an equal number of Labor and LNP members.
Mr Anning has since been dumped from the party by federal KAP leader Bob Katter.
