She is perched up in her national embassy during a short stay in Canberra with an eye on golf glory, but rest assured Pogacar is prepared to live out of her car with that goal in mind.
Professional golf's new kid on the block has "Slovenia" emblazoned across her back as she looks to make a statement about where she is from heading into the Tokyo Olympic Games next year.
She is certainly making that statement down under, shooting six birdies and an eagle to finish 11 under par to top the leaderboard alongside Anne Van Dam of the Netherlands in round two of the Canberra Classic at Royal Canberra Golf Club on Saturday.
Pogacar's desire to turn heads is perhaps born out of the fact she comes from a rare breed as a Slovenian golfer - you would be hard-pressed to find 20 golf courses in Slovenia.
"It's really exciting, because it will put Slovenia on the map," Pogacar said.
"I have 'Slovenia' written on my back so people can see where I come from. I'm looking forward to putting Slovenia on the map.
"It feels awesome. I'm really excited. I played some solid shots and I had to wait for the putts to roll in and I waited patiently until the end, so it was really nice, especially on the last hole, which was in all the way, with three percent break to the right.
"After [a tough start I hit two birdies], I hit two more shots to like four feet, so I could have had another two birdies. I managed to play well after that.
"The first hole was just a bad club decision and I misread the putt, but it happens. It's golf, so it's easy to let it go and play 17 more holes.
"I've been hitting it solidly the whole week so finally I got my irons and driver dialled in and it’s been just a matter of time."
Pogacar's stellar round leaves her in prime position to claim the crown on Sunday but Scotland's Carly Booth (10 under par) is snapping at her heels in a bid to write her own fairytale.
Booth has seemingly always been destined to achieve something special - she became the youngest ladies' club champion in Britain aged 11, and became the youngest Scot to qualify for the Ladies European Tour at 17.
Now 26, Booth says it is time that potential is finally realised as she looks to kickstart a mammoth year with a drought-breaking triumph in Canberra.
"It’s been a long time since I’ve won, since 2012, and I was in my teens. I’m 27 this year and that makes me feel so old," Booth said.
"I’m feeling positive about this year. It’s a new year to get myself in gear and it’s never been far away but it’s never been there over the last couple of years but I feel it’s on the right track and a lot of it is self-belief.
"I’m starting to believe in myself again."
