A Brisbane woman fatally struck by a ute on her birthday has been remembered for her contagious laugh and warm personality.

Caroline Davis had been crossing the intersection between Honour Avenue and Bridge Street at Chelmer about 7am on Tuesday when she was hit by a ute.
She was rushed to Princess Alexandra Hospital with critical head injuries, but died in hospital.
School friend Emily Baggins took to social media to remember the moment she first clicked with the avid rower at school camp.
“Sharing a bunk with you for a summer was filled with constant laughs till we cried,” she posted to Facebook.
Many were shocked by the news, including Ms Davis's sister Bella, who said Caroline had lived her life to the fullest.
“She was my best friend and the best sister I could ever have asked for and I already miss her more than I ever thought possible,” she wrote.
Her aunt Di Ball said the family had been left devastated.
Ms Davis had recently joined the Brisbane & GPS Rowing Club and was a regular competitor at inter-club regattas, club chairman Ian Holzberger said.
“Let us all respect Caz for what she brought to the rowing community in general and our club in particular by remembering her as a bright, funny, energetic, vivacious lady who added tremendously to our sport,” he posted to social media overnight.
The Forensic Crash Unit was investigating.
Police have asked for any witnesses to the crash or anyone with dashcam footage of the incident to contact them.
