Foreshore building heights rise without consultation
The ACT government will allow a new six-storey apartment block on one of the most prestigious pieces of land on the Kingston Foreshore peninsula.

Man sues over hospital roof jump
A man who broke his legs and heel bones when he jumped from the roof of Canberra Hospital in a failed suicide attempt a decade ago is suing the ACT government for negligence.
The man, 29, had self-harmed and threatened to throw himself from the roof of a house before police coaxed him down and took him to the hospital about 4.30am on September 12 in 2007.
A few hours later, he fled and jumped from the roof of a neighbouring building. He survived, but suffered lasting injuries.

'Dangerous' dogs returned after killing pet
Three dogs declared "dangerous" after they were seized following the death of a pet dog in July have been returned home.
Amaroo's Cody Hill said she had put her pet Daisy, a Cavalier King Charles spaniel, in the backyard when she left home for half an hour, and returned to find her backyard trashed and the dog dead.
Her partner had arrived home and found five of the neighbouring dogs, two of which were puppies, throwing Daisy's body in the air in the backyard.
