The body of missing Yass man Leonard Watkinson has been recovered from a property near Yass.
Police found the 60-year-old man's body in a water tank on his 255-acre property on Reardons Road on Thursday afternoon.
A police spokeswoman said his death is not believed to be suspicious, and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
Mr Watkinson was last seen by his partner, Lynn at the property on October 5 as he went to carry out work near a dam.
The couple had arranged, as they always did, to meet for lunch back at the barn. But when Lynn arrived about 1pm, Mr Watkinson wasn't there.
She looked for him, and finding it odd she couldn't find him called his phone – the property has good reception and they always carried their mobiles while out and about.
It rang out to a "caller unavailable" message, and she would later discover his keys and phone in the workshop.
A major search operation was launched, with police divers combing dams across the property and a helicopter searching from the air.
At the time, his family became convinced there had been an accident and Mr Watkinson had fallen in the dam.
Mr Watkinson's younger sister Kate O'Brien said the property's facilities are basic, with water tanks, a solar power system and a barn, and a thriving vegetable garden.
"His life was the block he went missing from," she said last month.
"They were making arrangements to go live out there, and they had a lot of plans."
