Friends of missing Canberra teenager Kathleen Bautista held a vigil on Wednesday night at Black Mountain as police and the SES continued to search bushland for the university student.

More than 100 people turned out in support of the 19-year-old, who disappeared last Saturday morning after leaving a friend's house in Chapman.
Among the crowd were some of her workmates from the Southern Cross Yacht Club.
Ms Bautista was due to begin work at the club at 12pm the day she went missing, according to venue manager Simon Plumber, but hours before her shift began he fielded calls from concerned loved ones trying to track her down.
"She's very outgoing and is very well-liked by all of the staff," Mr Plumber said.
"She always has a smile and a funny story, she's a good person. We just want to get her back."
Students and staff from her former school, St Clare's College, have also held a prayer service for the Gordon resident.
Principal Paul Carroll described Ms Bautista as an "enthusiastic and motivated student" with a "well-developed social conscience".
"The college community is very concerned by her disappearance," Mr Carroll said.
"Kathleen was very active in the house charity events in contributing to functions that raised finances and awareness for the plight of the underprivileged.
"She was an enthusiastic and motivated student who worked hard in all her classes."
Ms Bautista was last seen driving a black Hyundai i30 bearing the registration number YHE47L, with prayer beads dangling from the rear view mirror.
Signals from her mobile phone were last picked up eight kilometres west of the Telstra tower at around 11.30am.
Police have concentrated their search in bushland around that area, canvassing roads, tracks and waterways.
ACT Policing Constable Lachlan Ryan said the search would move towards Uriarra Village on Friday as emergency services focused on parts of the Cotter catchment area.
He said any snippet of information from the public would help police.
"We want to know where Kathleen was and what time," he told ABC radio on Friday morning.
"We're looking for sightings of Kathleen, sightings of her vehicle - any of that information would be greatly helpful to our investigations."
Meanwhile Ms Bautista's friends and boyfriend are rallying volunteers to join the search for the missing teenager.
Walkers will hand out flyers on Friday morning in Gordon, Banks, Conder, Calwell, Theodore,Chapman, Weston, Uriara, Florey and Holt to spread the word about her disappearance.
ACT Policing have urged members of the community not to try searching in bushland for Ms Bautista.
"Police understand that friends are concerned for Kathleen's welfare, however, people that are not appropriately trained in rural search rescue will impact on police's ability to locate Kathleen," a police spokesperson said via their Facebook page.
"Although your good intent is appreciated and we are all working together to locate Kathleen, the best way you can help in the search for her is to circulate information about her last known location and the possible whereabouts of the [car] she was driving."
Police have called on the community to check their dashcams and report any sightings of the teenager by calling 131 444.
