Canberra United chief executive Heather Reid says the club wants to live stream its home games after the new television broadcast deal ensures McKellar Park will be shut out.

In a boost to the women's game, Fox Sports will broadcast one W-League match every Sunday that is played at the same venue as the first game of a double-header with the A-League.
The move means Canberra United won't have any of their home games broadcast on national television as the defending champions are the only stand-alone club in the W-League.
"In my point of view, it's a positive that we've got some games on Fox, but we need to match that with some free-to-air games," Reid said.
"For Canberra, we also need to get an understanding from the FFA about what that means for us in terms of having something that satisfies our fans as well as our sponsors in terms of having a broadcast game at home.
"There's a whole lot of logistical things that need to be worked through with this proposal."
The ABC is reported to be keen to show the games if it can reach an agreement with Fox Sports – eight months after dropping its coverage of women's sport.
The W-League had been broadcast on the ABC since the competition started in 2008.
Strong television ratings for the Women's World Cup in Canada and the support for the Matildas has prompted Fox Sports to explore its options.
Reid said she was interested in having games that weren't broadcast on television live streamed on the internet.
"That goes global, this is the world game, we have fans all over the world," Reid said. "People want to be able to follow the game through some digital platform rather than just be restricted to seeing it on TV."
