Canberrans can help choose the final design for a new children's water play area to be built by the ACT government at the Tuggeranong Lakeside Leisure Centre.

The new $500,000 facility was announced in last year's ACT budget as part of the government's efforts to lower obesity rates, including among children in the ACT.
On Friday, Sport and Recreation Minister Shane Rattenbury called on Canberrans to cast a vote for one of three proposed designs, with artists impressions presented for viewing.
"The LLC is a well-loved community facility in Canberra's south that is a regular recreation spot for many families," Mr Rattenbury said.
"Over the winter months the facility will be undergoing a number of upgrades and improvements and, as part of that, I would like to invite the community to vote for their favourite design for the new water play park."
Construction on the park will begin in July as the centre closes for two months for maintenance, including health and safety improvements.
The park is expected to be open for use for the summer swimming season, beginning on November 1.
Mr Rattenbury said the refurbishment works included a full retiling of the pool concourse and renovating the existing change rooms.
Participants in the vote can pick their favourite design and cast a vote in person at the centre or on the ACT government's Sport and Recreation Services website.
"Our aquatic facilities do require maintenance and upgrades which results in pool closures from time to time, but I am sure that when patrons return to the pool in September, and then again at the start of the summer season, they will be pleased with the improvements to LLC," Mr Rattenbury said.
All centre memberships will be frozen for the period of the planned closure.
Canberrans have until May 28 to vote for the water park designs.
