Firefighters are mopping up after a two hectare grass fire near the Monaro Highway which started following a car fire.

The fire, near Tuggeranong Pines close to Gilmore, followed the car fire which was first reported about 2.30pm.
An Emergency Services Agency spokesperson said the fire was contained and was at an advice warning level.
"The ACT Rural Fire Service has seven units responding and is being supported by three ACT Fire and Rescue crews and a commander," the spokesperson said.
Another unit from Jerrabomberra assisted and crews are expected to be on scene until about 4.30pm.
