Two men are alleged to have broken into a home in Knoke Avenue, before restraining the couple with tape and threatening them.
The couple’s daughter arrived home about 9.30am to find her parents bound but uninjured.
She called police, who are seeking witnesses.
One of the alleged offenders was seen running from the house just before the daughter got home.
He is thought to be about 30 years old, with a dark shaved head and dark coloured skin.
He was wearing jeans and a black hooded jumper.
A second man – described as 196centimetres tall, with a big build, and wearing a balaclava, blue shirt, dark blue trousers and black work boots – was also believed to have run from the house.
Police believe a getaway car driven by a third man was waiting for the two men.
The car was described as a late-model blue sedan.
It is unclear whether anything was taken from the home.
