Member for Monaro John Barilaro has committed to building female change rooms and new club room to house the growing women's side.
The Tigerettes have made a name for themselves and become a powerhouse in the AFL Canberra women's competition. Queanbeyan's first grade side are yet to lose a match and hold a comfortable lead.
"The Queanbeyan Tigers are a rich part of Queanbeyan's history, not only do we have a competitive men's side but we now have an amazing women's side," Barilaro said.
"These ladies deserve to have the finest facilities for training and game day."
Barilaro also announced $15 million in allocated funding to a multi-sports hub in Cooma. The facilities will accommodate AFL, tennis, athletics, basketball, netball and cricket.
"I know how important it is to support the future sporting stars of Monaro," Barilaro said.
"You never know, this new precinct might be all it takes to find the next Donald Bradman or Liz Ellis."
