NSW police have uncovered more than $200 million worth of the drug known as ice after a man allegedly driving a van with the drugs inside crashed into a police car.
Security footage has shown a Toyota HiAce hitting a parked police car in Eastwood in Sydney's north around 10.30am on Monday.
No one was injured in the crash, but one of the police cars was significantly damaged in the incident.
Police officers then stopped the male driver of the van in the nearby suburb of Ryde an hour later, before searching the vehicle.
While searching the back of van, police uncovered 273 kilograms of methylamphetamine hidden in moving boxes.
The drugs were estimated to have a street value of more than $200 million.
The driver, a 28-year-old, was arrested at the scene and taken to Ryde police station.
He was charged with large commercial drug supply, negligent driving and not giving particulars to police.
The man was refused bail and will appear before a Sydney court on Tuesday.
The van was seized for forensic testing.
