The woman, 37, was seen driving a black SUV northbound in Aranda at 11.20pm on Monday.
Officers carrying out speed checks along the road clocked her at doing 122km/h in a 60km/h zone.
Police stopped the car a short time later on Haydon Drive in Bruce.
A police spokesman said the woman was then given a roadside drug test, where she recorded a positive result.
She was taken to Belconnen police station for further testing and again tested positive.
The woman was charged with driving more than 45km/h over the speed limit and driving with a prescribed drug.
She will face the ACT Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
