Who would have thought toilet roll limits would be the benchmark of "normal" society but it was another piece of good news that reminded us of how life was eight weeks ago. In other positive signs, NSW is the latest state to ease restrictions with some visitors allowed to homes and coronavirus infections from unknown sources have plummeting with just one case of community transmission in the past 24 hours.

Don't get too carried away though. There are still limits on other goods and everyone still needs to practise social distancing and stay home as much as possible. Also be nice to those on the front line of supermarkets, it has been an intense time for them.

Aged care providers have pushed back on the PM's warning for them to allow visitors. They want to use their experience to protect residents and not make the same mistakes as overseas.

Schools are still a hot topic with term two starting for many this week. Tasmanian Premier Peter Gutwein says he decides when North West Tasmanian schools will open, not the Federal Government. His Victorian counterpart Daniel Andrews has given his support to online learning as they look to keep kids at home for the whole term.

There is also concern about how we look out for the vulnerable in our communities. In Queensland an 80-year-old woman spent four days on the floor after breaking her hip, there are concerns that the homeless in WA are forgotten souls and cancer patients have been dodging treatment over fears of the virus.
