With Eastlake at 9-89, all Ginninderra co-captain Mary Waters could think about was the weather as clouds covered Forestry Oval.

And as Claire Herbert was holding up her end at number 11 for the hosts, Waters began to think the worst as rain had already briefly stopped play.
"We were thinking we were going to have to rush through them when we were at 10 overs," Waters said.
But up stepped Mia Phelps for the Tigers who knocked over tailender Georgia Bye to give Ginninderra a 30-run win over last season's premiers.
Phelps also scored a vital 31 runs for Ginninderra, to cap off a stellar all-round performance.
"Gee whiz that's a real good win against a very good side, absolutely stoked," Waters said.
"Mia has worked really hard on her batting and that certainly payed off today and without her we wouldn't have won the game.
"Absolute super effort from the girls, I am stoked."
The Tigers were at one stage at 5-87 when Jess Galeano was dismissed for 33. But thanks to Phelps's efforts at number six, they managed to get to 135 before being bowled out in the 39th over.
A score co-captain Caitlin Galeano stated that she was pretty pleased with along with her sister's steady innings.
"It was pretty good [Jess's knock], it was really good for her to get some time out in the middle. She had been busting to get some runs, it was really good she took the opportunity," Galeano said
"After a little while when we saw that it was a very bowler-orientated wicket, we thought 120-130 was a pretty good defendable total."
The 16-year-old Grace Redfern-Elliott also had a day to remember with the ball, taking 4-40 for the Tigers.
"She was unbelievable, absolutely unreal. She has come up from juniors, played juniors last year for the club and has come up and done an absolute ripper job for us," Waters said.
"She bowled really well at the top. We took a risk and decided to open with her and it payed off."
While the Tigers went heartbreakingly close to claiming the Glenda Hall Shield last weekend, Galeano said the side can take plenty of positives from the defeat moving forward, as they now set sights on the Lynne O'Meara Cup.
"Obviously it still lingers a little bit [the loss]. But obviously we take that and try and build on top of that and keep that energy and execution. If we keep working hard, I think we can get there," she said.
Meanwhile, in round three of the Douglas Cup, Weston Creek Molonglo have set North Canberra-Gungahlin a massive total to chase, after being bowled out for 387.
Joshua Low-McMahon smashed 111 off just 103 balls, with Robert Trickett also scoring a ton.
Queanbeyan finished day one in a strong position at 2-235 against Eastlake, with Mark Solway not out on 117.
